Safari in Style

We specialise in custom safaris. We appoint the most qualified person to design your itinerary – your professional guide.

While our expert guides are capable of leading you on any adventure, from flying in a balloon over the Serengeti Plains, riding African elephants in the Okavango delta, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, or tracking rhinos in thick bush by the banks of the Zambezi, the majority of our clients want Africa’s best guides to lead them on a safari that is simply a wonderful experience - a blend of comfort and adventure with the assurance of maximum safety.

In other words, an incredible African experience enjoyed in pure luxury.

Our safaris fit this description.

Many of our safaris combine different types of accommodation throughout your stay. This ensures that you are comfortable, while providing variety and adventure.

This section Safari in Style describes the various types of accommodation and other services we provide. For a better understanding of the different accommodation facilities follow the links in the description for each accommodation type, or visit the relevant pages under this section:

Traditional mobile tented camps - These are the nearest camps in style to those used by the hunters and adventurers of the colonial period. These are the best facilities for those who want plenty of comfort and privacy, as there are no other guests in camp. They are ideal for guests who wish to feel immersed in the African wilds, and who will appreciate relaxing with a cocktail round the campfire while listening to the whoops of hyaenas or the roars of lions.

Luxury lodges - These are often some of the best hotels in the world, and usually provide a sybaritic haven, much appreciated by people seeking real luxury, often providing massage services, spas, internet services and other facilities.

Permanent tented camps - These are generally extremely luxurious camps set in fixed locations, often in remote wild and beautiful areas. They are a blend in style between the lodges and the mobile camps, where comfort is assured, and where some feel of being in the wilds is also maintained.

Fly camps- These are best for the adventurous keen on walking, and those who value the bush experience over luxuries such as en-suite flush loos (which are usually provided in the mobile tented camps). These are the most mobile of the camps, and can be moved on a daily basis. Food is first class, and there is a camp bar with ice cold drinks.

Mountain hiking camps – These are similar to fly camps in quality, although the equipment is mostly nylon lightweight mountain gear, carried by porters and not a vehicle. We usually accommodate up to 2 people in a 3 man mountain tent.

Bush camps - These are somewhat similar in facilities in both mobile and fly camps, depending on the bush camp. They are in a fixed location and are set up for the season. Simplicity is the aim. Some have en suite showers and loos, others provide a more rustic experience. The cuisine and the bar is excellent!
