Exploring Africa

All our journeys are custom designed. Our professional guides hail from both east and southern Africa, and as a result we are able to offer safaris in much of Africa.

Our main centre of operations is Tanzania and Kenya, where Wilderness Africa guide Justin Bell was raised, and where we are able to offer our exclusive luxury mobile tented safaris. Parts of northern Kenya have unique species of wildlife and very different desert-like scenery. Tanzania incorporates the Serengeti national park, famous for the great wildebeest migration; Ngorongoro Crater has some of the highest densities of big game anywhere on the planet and is one of the largest intact calderas in the world; and Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa.

Wilderness Africa guide Dave Christensen and some of our other guides come from southern Africa, and we offer safaris in this region, notably in Botswana, Namibia and Zambia. Botswana is famous for the Okavango Delta, Namibia is known for its stunning desert scenery, and Zambia has become popular for walking safaris, especially in the South Luangwa national park.

We also organize safaris to see the gorillas and birdlife in Uganda and Rwanda, and we journey to the ancient cities of Ethiopia.
